Ymir

Ymir is an epic Norse Saga-inspired card game designed by Thibaud Michaud.

The game is set in a fantastical world where players take on the roles of gods in a battle for supremacy. Each player starts with a deck of cards representing their godly powers, spells, and creatures. The game is played in rounds, with each round consisting of several phases.

In the first phase, players draw cards from their deck and decide which ones to keep and which ones to discard. This is followed by a bidding phase, where players bid on various resources that are used throughout the game. The highest bidder gets to choose which resource they want first and so on until all resources have been distributed.

The main phase of the game involves playing cards from your hand onto the battlefield. Each card has a different effect and can be used to attack your opponent, defend yourself, or strengthen your position.

The game also includes a unique sacrifice mechanic, where players can destroy their own cards in order to gain additional resources or trigger powerful effects.

The ultimate goal of Ymir is to defeat your opponent by reducing their life points to zero. However, victory is not always straightforward as players must balance their offensive and defensive strategies while keeping an eye on their opponent's moves.
